Rebecca, this is ...What an amazing blog post today!
Rebecca, this is very moving, insightful, and perceptive (if that doesn't mean the same thing). Well done.
Some years ago we were in the Netherlands, and visited
a battlefield and cemetery where a number of American WWII soldiers were buried. In the guest book I wrote: "Thank you for taking such good care of them." I can only imagine your feelings as you surveyed the abandoned Jewish cemetery.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6009744383586622251.post-49930827799613048522010-07-01T20:43:28.591+02:002010-07-01T20:43:28.591+02:00Wow...Wow...Rebeccahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14280392567846900191noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6009744383586622251.post-43423833093428263412010-07-01T16:53:03.444+02:002010-07-01T16:53:03.444+02:00My gosh. Its so perceptive of you to make the connection between the normal places we would expect to encounter the horror of the holocaust, and the place where we wouldn't necessarily think to encounter it. I thought you were going to talk about how large the Jewish section was, about the rows upon rows of graves, but you saw something different, which made this all so much more real for me. Thanks,

BruceAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6009744383586622251.post-19165966796693297052010-06-30T04:50:31.430+02:002010-06-30T04:50:31.430+02:00Rebecca: you have an awesome gift!
